nativ.ly is looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Account Manager to join our growing Chicago team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of media or advertising experience who enjoys building relationships, generating new business opportunities, and helping brands connect with audiences through innovative podcast and digital media partnerships.
We're looking for someone with a passion for digital media — especially podcasts, social, YouTube, and emerging creator platforms — who is excited about helping brands partner with some of today's most influential independent media properties.
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in driving new business and growing client relationships while managing and mentoring Sales Associates/Account Coordinators. You'll work closely with leadership to identify new brand partners, develop creative campaign opportunities, and guide deals from initial outreach through campaign execution and renewal.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development by prospecting brands and agencies and generating new client opportunities
- Build and manage a pipeline of brand partnerships, from initial outreach through proposal and close
- Lead client conversations and presentations to develop advertising partnerships across podcasts and digital media properties
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative, custom campaign ideas based on brand briefs and RFPs
- Manage and mentor Sales Associates/Account Coordinators in prospecting, outreach, and campaign support
- Maintain and grow relationships with key clients and agency partners to generate repeat business and renewals
- Oversee campaign execution to ensure successful delivery and strong client results
- Track pipeline activity, outreach efforts, and campaign performance
- Work with leadership to identify strategic growth opportunities for the company
Requirements
- 3–4 years of media or advertising experience, preferably in a sales, partnerships, or client-facing role at an agency, publisher, or digital media company
- Proven ability to prospect, develop relationships, and advance new business opportunities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentations
- Passion for digital media, podcasts, and emerging creator platforms
- Ability to translate brand goals into compelling partnership ideas
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor junior team members
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Proficiency with Mac and Google Workspace
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
